Project 6: Industrial User Interfaces

Objective

The high-quality development of problem-oriented user interfaces is an essential criterion for competitiveness in today's software engineering market. In particular, this project deals with optimization of usability engineering processes, embedding them into the development processes, and with support tools for all stages of the system development. Another issue is the development of interaction techniques and interaction paradigms for diverse application areas.

Project Description

The project pursuits the following objectives:

• requirements analysis for industrial user interfaces
• definition of process models for industrial user interfaces
• definition of tools and adoption to process models
• development of a user interface engineering environment
• development of user interface techniques for selected application areas
• evaluation and enhancement of user interface technologies
